Overview
Lower Saxony Energy Research Center (EFZN)
The Energy Research Center of Lower Saxony (EFZN) brings together cutting-edge energy research from universities in Lower Saxony and works on an interdisciplinary basis to find solutions for a sustainable energy supply. The focus is on renewable energies, energy storage, grid integration, and system analysis. With its combined expertise, the EFZN supports the energy transition on a scientific basis.
ForWind
ForWind connects top university research on wind energy in Lower Saxony and brings together expertise in aerodynamics, structural dynamics, control technology, and energy management. The research facility develops technologies and methods for efficient, reliable, and sustainable wind turbines. In doing so, ForWind makes a key contribution to the energy transition and the further development of wind energy.
Leibniz Research Center LiFE2050
Leibniz University Hannover is pooling its interdisciplinary expertise in the LiFE2050 research center to transform the energy system toward sustainable, low-emission solutions. Around 30 institutes are working together to further develop renewable energies, storage technologies, and efficient supply concepts. The aim is to make a decisive contribution to a climate-neutral energy future.
