The infrastructure was financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the EU's response to the COVID-19 pandemic through the project “Future Fuels in Lower Saxony – ZuKiNi.”
Special gas supply for hydrogen and ammonia
The DEW has a central supply of hydrogen, ammonia, and other specialty gases. This supply facility enables research to be conducted at a practical level, thereby leading various areas of the mobility and energy industry into a CO2-free future. Applications include large commercial vehicle engines, generators/combined heat and power plants, industrial burners, and aircraft engines.
